Embrace. Dry Kids

Indie band embarce are back with a fantastic new release: Dry Kids. (The B sides 1997-2005) This album showcases and captures the bands magic with an amazing collection of B side material spanning over a period of 8 years.
All of the tracks featured are a stunning array of creativity at its very best. This album is a must have for any Embrace fan to add to thier CD collection. I'd highly recommend "Dry Kids" to all indie fans, and to those who are not necesarrily fans of this this genre - If you appreciate great music, than you will love this.

There is a track for everyone on this album, and with 18 tracks, all of which make fantastic listening, there is plenty to choose from.

"The Shots Still Ringing" is an amazingly uplifting track. Incorperated into it are all the elements which make music great. A fantastic guitar intro which paves the way for an electrifying, powerful vocal. All the depths and peaks of this track are hit with absolute perfection. An opening track which will definately leave the listener of this album reeling for more...

"Madeline" follows, which i have to say, i fell in love with at first listen. A gorgeous eclectic mixture of electric guitar and the piano to open this track . The Vocal on this track is amazing. This track is reminicent of melancholy, of things lost. The song itself feels like a ballad, but with a highly powerful backing from a mix of heavy guitars and effects. Not your usual ballad type song. This is one of the best songs i've heard in a good while.

"Dry Kids" is packed full of fantastic tracks, ranging from the heavier feeling guitar, and drum inspired  tracks with a very prominent Indie feel such as "Brothers and Sisters" and "Flaming Red Hair" which also has a very 80's disco feel incorperated into it- very Duran Duran vocal esque, but equally just as amazing.

I also adore "How Come". Completely at the other end of the spectrum to what was produced for Eminem's version. It's production still has an indie feel to it, complemented by a gorgeous piano part playing the chords of the track. This track builds from a quiet, soft and light feeling to an amazing crescendo into the heavier drums and guitar parts which allow for the full effect of this track to be experienced.

The lead singers vocals on all of the tracks are undoubtedly amazing and powerful, and sharp. The instrumentation and arrangement of the tracks is awe inspiring. "Dry Kids" has it all. It couldn't and doesn't get better than this for a band.
