And what about that band of his? According to brother Noel, Oasis have no plans to release anything after their upcoming greatest hits collection. With their contract up they haven’t even bothered to look for a new record deal, apparently, and are consequently an unsigned band. Though the chances of them returning to pub gigs for fifty quid and all the chips they can eat are probably slim... this side of Christmas, at least. We can’t offer such generous odds on The Darkness though.

Those partial to the hell-for-leather, seat-of-the-pants scuzz-tasticness of Brighton’s Kooks will be delighted to learn that the band’s recently postponed short spin around the country have been rescheduled for December and that original tickets remain valid. And, just ion case, like me you simply cannot be bothered to snaffle around with your mouse to find out when and where these gigs are now set to take place, here they are:

Tue 12th - Brighton, Dome
Wed 13th - Leeds, University
Sun 17th - Norwich, UEA
Mon 18th - Southampton, Guildhall
Tue 19th - Newcastle, Academy

So there you go, and if they don’t play ‘Ooh La La’ the next single from their hit album ‘Inside In/Inside Out’ set for release on the 23rd then I am most assuredly a monkey’s uncle. No really, I actually am a monkey’s uncle, only by marriage, but you know, we exchange Christmas cards and everything. He smears mine with his own excrement, but hey, it’s the thought that counts.

Until next time… STAY LOUD!!!
