December Party With Dubfire!
Dubfire has announced he’s heading to Asia this December for a hotly anticipated tour covering Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand. The acclaimed DJ and producer, who is currently taking a break from being one half of America’s most successful electronic duo, Deep Dish, has also announced details of his first solo single, a cover of Love And Rocket’s obscure classic ‘I Feel Speed’, to be released in March 2007 on his new label, Science + Technology, and the release of his first solo Global Underground mix album, ‘Taipei’, in April of next year.
If that all seems very far away, then fear not, as his forthcoming remixes of Nic Fancuilli (‘Lucky Heather’), and Robbie Rivera (‘Float Away’) will both be available from December. Dubfire’s remix of Fancuilli’s ‘Lucky Heather’, to be released on Renaissance, recently shot straight in at No.2 in the DMC Buzz Chart – reflecting how the remix has blown up on worldwide dancefloors and is set to dominate the soundtrack for the Xmas period.
The Asia trip will be Dubfire’s second tour of the region. He will begin his journey at Japan’s legendary Ageha with Darren Emerson and an all-night stint at Yellow, while for other gigs in the tour he’ll welcome the likes of rising star Paolo Mojo and Carl Cox to the booth, before finishing up in Thailand and returning to the US for the holidays and additional dates.
As part of the 4 time Grammy Award nominated and Grammy Award winners Deep Dish, Iranian born Dubfire has been one half of the most successful US dance duo in history for over a decade. Following 3 recent top 15 hit singles from their acclaimed album, ‘George Is On’, he and Sharam have decided to take a break from all things ‘Dish’ to continue their solo duties as DJs and producers. Further details on Dubfire’s 2007 activity will be released in due course.
