* Phillipe has DJed in Britain at tastemaking London clubs like Scaramanga and Basement Jaxx.
* Their "Foxy Lady" by L'Homme Qui Valait Trios Millards was one of the first funky French disco tunes to catch the ears of tastemaking British DJs back in 1996 which is still a DJ box staple.
* L'Homme Qui Valait Trois Millards may seem like a daft name for a group, but it means The Six Million Dollar man in French. So there.
* "1999" by Cassius is the best album yet from the French house scene. Digging into their roots in hip hop for inspiration, it mixes house and garage grooves with disco spirit and funk attitude.
